17.50 m (55 ft) High Speed Motor Sailer yacht was extremly innovative project which contained a lot of non-traditional applications on her.

One of the non-traditional application was this canting keel. That yacht was designed with the semi-displacement motor yacht hull and high speed sailing yacht hull specialities on a same yacht!

So, we had to design a long and heavy right-left direction canting keel to reach high speeds in sailing. On the other hand, when we want to sail with engine thrust, this long and heavy keel restrain our maximum speed.

Under these circumstance we designed this right-left and up-down directioned keel to avoid the whole restrains in both situations. Our team made structural design for this keel and joint details in between composite material hull and this steel construction. Also, our team made hydrodynamic optimizastion and stability calculations aswell
